Ethanol Technology

Continuous Ethanol Technology CET®

Today Ethanol production has become big business and forms an integral part of any nation’s strategic energy policies and as such, DOVE Biotech have taken “fuel grade Ethanol” production to the next level with a revolutionary designed micro sieve technology, which takes beverage grade ethanol to “fuel grade ethanol”, without costly inception of hydrolyzed lime beds.

DOVE Biotech CET® is molecular sieve technology working on the principle of pressure swing adsorption wherein water is first removed by adsorbing on surface of “molecular sieves” and then cyclically removing it under different conditions including steaming. Molecular Sieve Dehydration Technology utilizes micro-porous particles such as alumino-silicates, processing a very precise pore size. The pores make it possible to separate small molecules from large ones through selective adsorption. Ethanol can also be produced from “cellulosic Biomass” such as trees and grasses and it called Bioethanol. The fuel grade Ethanol (Anhydrous Alcohol or dry Ethanol) contains no more than 0.5% of water. It is used as an octane enhancer for automotive gasoline.

Continuous Zero Discahrge Technology CZD®

Fuel ethanol production has increased steadily in many countries around the world. It was given impetus by need to reduce energy dependence on foreign supplies. The momentum has continued as alternative source of energy is enquired.

DOVE Biotech has done intensive research in developing the advent of CZD® (Continuous Zero Discharge Technology). Due to environment concerns over wastewater discharge and valuable waste steam, CZD® technology has been adopted to convert these wastes into energy and natural fertilizer. The biological energy from this process in converted to thermal energy, which in turn is used as a heat media in the where condensation occur. The thermal energy is used in three forms:

1) To provide a heat source for the ethanol production and

2) To recycle the concentrate ash into potassium fertilizer.

3) To provide electrical generation, which can be sold to the public grid.

Normal solid content in the wastewater steam is 12% by total, 9-10% is an organic load, with the remaining 2-3% of ash. CZD® utilizes this waste solid content that produced through ethanol operator by adding value to the wastes tram.

Advantages of CZD®
  • Minimal labor.
  •  Stable operation.
  • 100% recovery of the waste stream from the ethanol production.
  • Advanced control system with 10 years experience in manufacturing to provide sustained, stable, automatic operation.
