COW FARM BIOSECURITY
Historically there was less distinction between dairy cattle and beef cattle, with the same breeds used for both milk and meat. Today farmers generally keep either beef or dairy cattle. Dairy breeds are bred specifically to produce very high volumes of milk.
Beef cattle are generally slaughtered after one to two years in Europe. Beef cattle are often reared outdoors on grass, although many are brought indoors or crowded into feedlots for fattening before slaughter. Beef and dairy cattle can suffer from a variety of diseases. Foot and mouth disease is a severe, highly contagious viral disease of livestock. The disease affects cattle, swine, sheep, goats and other cloven-hoofed animals. The global impact of foot and mouth disease (FMD) is colossal due to the huge numbers of animals affected. It was estimated that 32 million livestock units around the world are affected by FMD every year. Spread of this and other diseases can be prevented by ultimate disinfection with ANTINFEK® 30PP.
ANTINFEK® is fully tested by major laboratories and government agencies and confirmed to destroy following viruses, bacteria and funguses on contact, including:
Coronavirus, Salmonella Typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Eshericia coli, Vibrio cholerae, Yeast and Moulds, etc.
DOVE Biotech’s integrated protection and prevention system, powered by ANTINFEK® disinfectant, ensures healthy cow farming by preventing the possibility of infection of the production, and, consequently, preventing the loss of millions of dollars for the dairy cattle and beef cattle industry.
